When offering a homestay, we believe in providing every possible convenience to our guests. However we would also like to specify, what is available and what is not, at our property.

Vilvam is neither a resort nor a hotel; it is a small Guest-House/Home-Stay/Home-stead amidst a residential area, about 5km away from the Kodai Town. It is one of the Tamilnadu state tourism department approved Bed and Breakfast facility.

Kindly carry an ID Card to provide at the time of check in. Please carry a copy of VALID-VISA and PASSPORT (only for foreign nationals) of each guest, since we need to maintain the same under the Registration of Foreigners Rules, 1992.

Our menu is not a-la-carte. It is traditional homely food, usually set between the Guest and the caretaker depending upon the culinary skill of the cook, on to which your suggestions are also welcome. We do not stock in vegetables/meat/poultries in the freezers and so it is better to mention in advance, your meal preference, so that the caretaker can buy everything fresh, from the Kodai market.

If you face any kind of discomfort during your stay, you are requested to inform the caretaker/owner. We appreciate negative/positive feedback in the Guest register provided at Vilvam, so that we can try to correct/follow them in future.
